Hostels in Bergen for low-cost stay, here’s our recommendation

Located only 250 m from Bergen Station, City Hostel Bergen provides basic hostel accommodation with free Wi-Fi and a shared kitchen. Bergen’s famous Fish Market is a 5-minute walk away. City Hostel Bergen provides modern and bright rooms featuring wooden floors, lockable wardrobes and a writing desk. Bathroom facilities are either private or shared. A refrigerator, microwave and tea/coffee maker can be accessed in the shared kitchen. Laundry facilities are also available. Only 5 minutes’ walk away is the medieval harbour area, Bryggen, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Staff will gladly recommend nearby restaurants, shops and sights to see.

HI Bergen Hostel Montana is situated up the hillside of Mount Ulriken, about 3.6 km from Bergen City Centre and easily accessed by public transportation. A grocery store and different hiking trails are located next to the hostel. Free parking is available for our guests.

This Quality and Sustainability certified property welcomes backpackers, groups and families to the international community of travelers all year round. It offers guests a wide range of accommodation in the modern and recently renovated rooms. From private single, double, triple and quadruple rooms to shared dorms. A complete all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet is included. Bed linen and towels can be rented for a fee. Alternatively, you can bring your own linen for free.

Wi-Fi, laundry room and a well equipped guest kitchen will ensure a comfortable stay at HI Bergen Hostel Montana. Guests can relax in the TV lounge, or play football in the common room. International volunteers organize free activities for guests such as hikes, games, BBQ’s, sightseeing, music and a daily free Coffee and Cookies activity. Guests can also use the spacious outdoor areas with BBQ facilities and a view.
